Having a shelter belt that is largely made up of Manitoba Maples is very pretty but as they tend to break down due to age and high wind, an annual clean up is a good idea. For us to go through the whole shelter belt each year would just be a dream so we try to do some-sometimes....
This year we're cleaning up the fallen stuff on the highway side of the yard. No end of weiner roast wood there.

Looks good you guys. It takes alot of energy, but feels so good even if you get a little bit accomplished!
Yes I noticed the fine clean up job when we had supper at your place...without you :(... the other day!!! Way to go!
